My daily make-up routine is quite extensive I have to admit - probably more a going-out make-up than a day make-up to most people. This is simply because I don't feel confident enough to go shopping or to University for example without a full face of make-up. The only time I don't wear make-up is when I sleep of course, when I know I'm not leaving the house, if I'm just popping to one of the local shops for food (I hide with my hood up) or if I'm staying at my boyfriend's or he's staying at mine.
I don't understand the concept of buying these ridiculously expensive make-up products such as MAC and Urban Decay as at the end of the day, make-up is removed whether its MAC or Collection. I have never used any of these expensive products so I can't comment on how good or bad they are but at the end of the day, if make-up does what you want it to do, surely it doesn't matter how much your make-up is? After all, you'll mainly be paying for the name with these more costly products. I think the fact that it seems as though almost every girl on Instagram who has an interest in make-up, celebrity or not, is pressurising other girls in getting these products yet this hasn't worked for me. I prefer to stick to the make-up products I know and love.
After cleansing and moisturising I apply foundation. I use Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour in Ivory on my whole face and Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour in Natural Beige (which is very brown for a natural beige tone!) to contour my cheekbones. I find that this foundation stays on my face throughout the whole day, which it suggests, without it looking too heavy or cakey - I find that it looks fresh and dewy throughout the whole day. Another bonus is that his foundation lasts me for months and months.
I then a use a concealer over any blemishes or discoloured skin such as around the eye area. I use Collection's Cover Up Stick in Natural Beige which is such a good concealer in my opinion.
I then set my foundation with powder which helps to hide shiny areas, particularly on the T zone. I use Collection's Sheer Loose Powder in Translucent 2. I do have to apply this throughout the day every few hours or so but that is probably due to my oily skin but it sets my liquid foundation really well.
I then apply bronzer to my cheekbones and the forehead area just below the hairline. I tend to do this in natural light as bronzer overload may turn you into an oompa loompa which isn't a good look! I use Collection's Bronze Glow Mosaic Powder in Sunkissed which creates a natural glow to the skin.
Next I do the eyebrows. I first use Miss Beauty London's Eyebrow Pencil in No. 3 Brown which is quite dark but my natural eyebrow colour is really dark compared to my hair colour. First I mark out my shape and then fill in my brows using my pencil initially and then with Collection's Work The Colour Eyebrow Kit which is a powder. Once I'm happy with the shape and fill, I check constantly by flicking from my handheld mirror to the mirror on my wall to check for symmetry. But don't forget, eyebrows are sisters, not twins! I then set my brows with clear mascara which is found in the eyebrow kit. I then use my Constance Carroll Kohl Eyeliner in White to draw a line directly under my eyebrow, following the shape, and then blend it to make my eyebrows stand out.
Then it's time for the most important part of my make-up; my eyes! First I create a base tone on my lid. I use the Makeup Academy Professional Eyeshadow Palette in Undressed. The base tone colour I use is Pull from this palette. I like the shine this eyeshadow gives. I then apply liquid eyeliner from the inner corner of my eye on my upper lid to the outer corner. I then extend from the outer corner to create a flick. I use Collection's Fast Stroke Eyeliner in Black. I do admit that this eyeliner can be quite patchy to put on so a few layers are needed but the application brush makes it so easy to apply hence why I use the liner. To say it is in a small tub, it lasts a long time, even with the amount of eyeliner I use. I have quite steady hands so I achieve a straight line quite easily without help from other items but I know people use bank cards to help act as a stencil.
I then use a combination of Burnished Brown, Fuel and Cool Grey from the palette in the crease of my upper lid and slightly above it just to create definition but I make sure it is blended well so that there is no harsh line of eyeshadow. I then apply the same white pencil I used earlier to my water line and the inner corner of my eye to give the illusion of bigger eyes. I then add Lion from the eyeshadow palette under my waterline to make my eyes pop and then lashings of Bourjois' Dark Khol Beauty Full Volume Mascara to both the bottom and upper lashes. This has to be the best mascara I have used as my eyelashes are quite long and this really thickens my lashes. Most mascaras enhance the length but mine are long enough without but I can't go without mascara, it just makes my eyes complete.
I then use vaseline on my lips and then Barry M's Lip Paint in Peach which you can see my review of here.

Do you believe in expensive make-up products? What make-up brands do you use? Have you used any of the make-up items I have mentioned?
quality of makeup definitely matters. its not just the brand, its because the brand has built a good reputation for being good quality. which is why I personally trust mac and would never buy drugstore, I only have like 3 drugstore products from my collection

Thanks for the comment! It is all down to personal choice and what works for you, I believe the products I use are good quality but I wouldn't rule out trying MAC for example one day.
