BUSY SUMMER

Hello blogging world! I haven't written a post in over a month and a half as I have been super super busy lately. What started off for me as a very chilled and laid-back summer soon become a hectic one but I love being busy so I'm not complaining. Now things have calmed down for me for a few weeks, I can't wait to get back into blogging again.

My summer hasn't been a very stereotypical one. I haven't left the country or been on any sort of holiday this summer in what must be the first summer of my life which has been strange! I'm usually a nice golden brown colour at this time of year but instead I'm a pale white. Even though I haven't been abroad soaking up the sun, I have still had a great summer spending the majority of it with my boyfriend. Although the weather hasn't been great, I still kept myself busy in my free time by eating at restaurants, letting my hair down, seeing a few films at the cinema and a LOT of shopping.

At the end of July, I got my exam results for my second year of University to discover that I had failed one of my exams and therefore one of my modules unfortunately. I didn't let this ruin my summer though as it was the hardest exam I have ever sat and I sat 6 exams within 2-3 weeks so I'm surprised I didn't fail more! So for around a month, I did a lot of revision and resat my exam last week which I found easier than the first time I did it in May so fingers crossed I will have passed this time!

Now that I have no revision to do, I need to start looking at ideas for my dissertation. I'm considering doing something on cancer genetics but I need to narrow it down even further. I also need to do research on what I want to do once I finish University. I'm thinking of doing a postgraduate degree again based on cancer genetics.

I also finally found myself a job which I love! After months and months of searching, I was finally offered a job as a bartender in the centre of Newcastle. I've been there around 5 weeks now and I really enjoy it! I think it's the perfect part time job to go alongisde my studies as I can have a dance and sing-song whilst I'm working which I'm sure will help me to relieve some stress when I start back at University in a few weeks,

Now that I have time to blog too, I've got lots of ideas on health and lifestyle that I want to write about in the upcoming weeks.

Have you had a good summer? What did you spend your summer doing?
