BIORÉ: DEEP PORE CHARCOAL CLEANSER REVIEW

With summer officially around the corner (even though it doesn't feel like it with the weather lately!), facial skin cleansing is essential for a fresh looking face. I think dull skin is more acceptable in winter (even though I do everything I can to prevent dull skin) because of the harsh bitter winds but in summer, a fresh, dewy face is what I'm sure every female out there would prefer to have. I wanted to invest in a new facial cleanser as a change in routine every so often does have benefits which I have recently found out! After looking and researching online, I came across a brand called Bioré which I had never even seen in shops or heard of before so I thought why not give it a try?

After looking at the range of products they provide, including pore strips, pore unclogging scrubs and masks, I chose the Bioré Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser as I wanted an everyday-use product. When I first picked up the product in Superdrug, I was a little worried about the colour of the product I would be putting on my face - it was black, that's right, black. I have never in my life heard of a black-coloured cleanser never mind seen one as I would associate a dark coloured cleansing product as being dirty. In fact, the Bioré Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser is the total opposite. After reading many amazing reviews about Bioré products, I purchased the cleanser anyway.

As the end of the day drew to a close and it was time for me to sleep, it was time to try out my new product. When I squirted some of the product onto my fingertips, I was a little apprehensive. But then I thought I would never know unless I tried and boy I'm glad I did. As I massaged the product over my face, the cleaner turned from black to a white foam which I was glad about! I could instantly tell that my skin started to feel amazingly soft. The scent of the cleanser is quite an indescribable one but it is a lovely, clean smell that isn't overpowering at all. As I rinsed my face, I noticed my pores, which are quite noticeable on my T zone without makeup, appear smaller, I was amazed! I couldn't stop looking in the mirror! And my skin was so touchably smooth, as though I had just used a moisturiser!

The reason that the product is black is because it contains charcoal which I personally thought was just used in art! But as Bioré say and after a little personal research, charcoal is actually known for it's ability to draw impurities out of pores and trap them.

A little description written by Bioré on the deep pore cleanser bottle says:
"Bioré Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser draws out and traps 2x more dirt and impurities than a basic cleanser, purifying pores to leave your face deeply cleansed and your skin tingly-smooth. Pores are twice as clean after just one use."

Another advantageous use of this product is that it's oil free so it's perfect for oily skin like mine! So don't be scared about the colour of the product, it is the best cleanser I have ever used and I wished I had discovered it sooner! I am considering investing in the pore strips and scrub to cleanse my skin even more.

At just £4.99 for 200ml from Superdrug, you would be silly not to try Bioré's Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser if you find your pores quite noticeable. I have been using the product for over a month and it has really made a difference and the bottle is still pretty full so it is well worth the money!

Have you tried Bioré products? Would you be put off by a dark-coloured cleaner?
